Aliso Viejo, CA — May 4th was a very lucky day for David Proctor of Irvine, who purchased six tickets for $25 by mail — and won the $4998 trip for two to China at Soka University’s 12th Annual International Festival. The raffle, which benefitted the Soka University Scholarship Fund, was sponsored by Ritz Tours and Air China.
Proctor, who came over to Soka University to get his photo taken, said that he “never wins anything,” but his luck has changed. He will now have the opportunity to visit both the Great Wall of China and the Terra Cotta Warriors on a 10-day, 8-night guided “China Discovery” tour.
Soka University’s International Festival is held on the first Saturday of May to celebrate the founding of the Aliso Viejo campus on May 3, 2001. The next festival will be on May 3, 2014 and registration for exhibitors is now open at www.soka.edu/festival.
