Breakfast with Gary and Kelly Debuts January 15, 2011
Radio station KSBR 88.5FM is proud to announce the addition of Radio on TV starting in January 2011 with “Breakfast with Gary and Kelly”. This once a month special will kick-off January 15th with legendary actress Debbie Reynolds who will discuss her life and career in advance of her one woman show at the Coach House on January 22nd.
The fun will take place at the Sycamore Room of the Norman P Murray Community Center in Mission Viejo and the public is invited to be part of the audience! Gary & Kelly will conduct their entire radio broadcast from the center beginning at 9:00 am. The studio audience will join in beginning at 10:00 am (doors will open at 9:45) and Ms Reynolds will take the stage for the final hour of the broadcast, beginning at 11:00 am. The final hour with Debbie Reynolds will also be videotaped for broadcast on the city’s cable channel and website at a later date.
Debbie Reynolds’ career has spanned six decades and her talents as a singer, dancer and actress have graced movie and television screens the world over. She has starred in some of the most beloved films of all time, including “Singing in the Rain”, “The Catered Affair”, “How the West Was Won” and “The Unsinkable Molly Brown” for which she was nominated for an Academy Award as Best Actress. She has won two Emmy awards for her television work and has three stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Gary and Kelly (Gary Bergeson and Kelly Bennett) can be heard on KSBR 88.5fm Saturday mornings from 9am to 12noon; their show will put a giggle in your morning cup of jazz. The pair has conducted numerous remote broadcasts from locations all over Southern California, including the Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach and Catalina Island and have hosted many celebrity guests. With antics such as “Cookin’ with Kelly” and Gary’s kazoo playing, their following has grown since the show’s inception in 2006. Bergeson has been in radio broadcasting since 1994 and he’s a National Account Manager for R & R Industries, Inc. Bennett, also a veteran of radio since 1998, works her day job for Time Warner Cable as a Public Affairs Specialist and is also the Society Editor for five local papers published by Mission Viejo News Groups.
