HOMEWORK CLUB

Does your child need a quiet place to study and receive homework assistance? Then the Homework Club may be the answer! Students may attend on a drop-in basis Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. All students who report to school prior to 8:15 a.m. will be escorted to Homework Club. There is no Homework Club on late-start Thursdays.

Mondays: Mrs. Cox, Room 705

Tuesdays: Mrs. Arsala, Room 902

Wednesdays: Mr. Waterman, Room 806

Fridays: Ms. Arambula, Room 707

PTSA REFLECTIONS – NATIONAL ART PROGRAM

Students, show your talent as a photographer, visual artist, writer, music composer, dance choreographer or film/video producer in National PTA’s annual Reflections Program.

This year’s theme is “TOGETHER WE CAN……”

Please join us on Wednesday, October 13, 6:00- 7:30 p.m., in the MPR, for Family Fitness Night! The whole family is invited to participate. Come dressed in comfortable shoes and clothes and be ready to move! See what your students will be doing and check out our technology – heart rate monitors and pedometers!

DJAMS ART CLUB

DJAMS Art Club meetings will be Wednesdays from 3:30 – 4:45 p.m. in the Art Lab. Students are invited to join for art projects, snacks and fun! Applications are available from Mrs. Henry during snack time near the lunch tables or after school in Room 903.

DJAMS TURKEY TROT

The Turkey Trot is just around the corner. This year’s off-campus run will be held on Thursday, November 18. If you or your place of business would be interested in making a merchandise or cash donation to this fundraiser, please contact Mr. Binley at: jjbinley@capousd.org or at 949-362-0348.

BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

Lunch-time Basketball Tournament sign-ups are Tuesday, October 5, in the Quad with Mr. Nahl at lunch. 5 on 5, 6 on a team. Students should bring a list of players to sign-up their team. The tournament begins Wednesday, October 6, on the blacktop courts. Parents who would like to volunteer to referee, please contact Mr. Nahl at rcnahl@capousd.org. Thank you.

WEIGHT TRAINING CLASS OFFERED

Mr. Binley’s first session of weight training is beginning after school on Monday, October 4. Interested students should see Mr. Binley for further details.

DJAMS WE ROCK

We ROCK team members will be practicing every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to approximately 4:30 p.m. Students will meet near the locker rooms.
