This Sunday, March 21, our own DJAMS’ WE ROC team will run the L.A. Marathon! Best wishes to all our athletes!

DRESS CODE REMINDERS
The warm season is fast approaching. We want to take a moment to remind students and parents of some of the most common dress code violations during this warm weather season. Please follow all dress code rules, but pay closer attention to the following:
1. Short shorts and mini-skirts are not allowed at school. Shorts or skirts should be no shorter than the fingertips of the student with his/her arms extended at their side.
2. Dresses, shirts, and blouses must have a sleeve and a solid front and back.
3. Sleeveless shirts, tube tops, spaghetti strap shirts are not allowed to be worn under removable outer garments such as sweatshirts or jackets.
4. Jeans, skirts, or shorts with holes in the upper thigh area will be considered a dress code violation.
5. High heels, platforms, and elevated shoes (including boots) are not allowed at school.
6. Writing on the body, including hands, arms, legs, face, etc. is not permitted at any time.
7. Dress code standards are subject to change.
We appreciate your cooperation and support!

DJAMS DRAMA PRODUCTION: CSI NEVERLAND
Make sure to mark your calendars for next week’s performance of CSI Neverland on March 25 and 26! Don’t miss this entertaining mix of comedy and mystery! The show starts at 6:00 p.m. Tickets will be sold at lunch on March 22, 23, and 24 for $5 and also at the door.

ATTENTION FUTURE WOLVERINES!
Aliso Niguel High School would like to invite all 8th grade parents to a special presentation on March 25, at 6:00 p.m. in the ANHS gym. ANHS guidance advisors will give an overview of the high school experience as well as information regarding scheduling, placement criteria for classes, and selection of electives. After the presentation, there will be an open fair where parents can get valuable information on athletics, clubs, dance, music, drama and many other co-curricular activities. Club advisors, coaches, and academic advisors will be there to answer all of your questions.

ALISO NIGUEL HIGH SCHOOL DRILL TEAM
ANHS is currently looking for members for next year’s drill team. 8th grade students will have the opportunity to learn a beginning pom routine and perform in the Spring Show on May 22. Practices will be held on Wednesdays from 4-6 p.m. in the Dance Room at ANHS beginning March 24. Interested students can contact coach Murphy at klmurphy@capousd.org. If students are unable to make the show, but are still interested, there is a Parent Informational Meeting on Wednesday, May 12, 6 p.m. in Room 701 at ANHS.

CLOSETS FOR CAPO
Spring Cleaning? Do you have clothes, shoes, backpacks, and handbags that you no longer use that are taking up closet space? Wouldn’t it be great if you could donate them and raise money to benefit CUSD students at the same time? Well, you can!

A pick-up date is scheduled for April 29, 2010, with a company that pays for used clothing. Place all donations in black trash bags and bring them to the donation box at your school. It’s a great opportunity to earn service hours too! One parent and her daughters have already donated over 15 bags full of items! Garage sale leftovers, neighbors, and friends were helpful in their efforts. A portion of proceeds will help CUSD families in need by providing them with Walmart and grocery gift cards. The rest will go into the foundation’s general fund to benefit all schools.

For information or to drop off donations: linda@cusdfoundation.org

ANNUAL MARCH TABNESS COMPETITION
PAL has begun the 3rd Annual March Tabness Competition! Students and staff members can collect tabs from aluminum cans for their homerooms during the whole month of March. These tabs will be recycled and funds will be raised for the Ronald McDonald House. Final tallies will be done on Wednesday, March 31, so collect those tabs!
