Mission Viejo / Saddleback Valley Elks Lodge No. 2444 (“Elks Lodge”) held a memorial day event to honor all of the country’s fallen heroes and to remember those currently serving throughout the world.
This event was attended by 175 members and guests. After the respectful memorial ceremony, members and guests enjoyed a typical American barbeque with music supplied by the group Alterego. A passing of the hat, raised $450 for the Joplin, Missouri Elks Lodge No. 501 which was destroyed and in which four members were killed.
The Lodge’s Bingo operation added to the $450 collection to make the Lodge’s total donation for the Joplin disaster $1,000 to date.
