The Mission Viejo, Saddleback Valley Elks welcomed thirteen (13) new members on Tuesday night. Lodge Exalted Ruler (Lodge President) Derek Randles and his corps of officers conducted the initiation ceremony.
Exalted Ruler Randles received a positive response from the new members when he asked the question, “How many of you joined the Elks in order to help us give back to the community through our charitable works?” Before the evening was over a number of new Elks had already signed on to assist with upcoming veteran’s events as well as Lodge and special needs children’s programs. Randles complimented the new members saying, “You joined us for the right reasons, because giving is what Elkdom is all about.”
The new members residing in Mission Viejo are Gail Fasi, James Wallace, Janet Hunt, Julian Anaya, Lonnie Howerton, Sheryl Pierce, Steven Cagnacci, and Ted Lucas. Also joining the Elks were Blake Badraun of Rancho Santa Margarita, Chris Badraun of Ladera Ranch, Barry Carlton of Lake Forest, Mark Morris, and John Bassler of Laguna Woods.
