Mission Viejo / Saddleback Valley Elks Lodge No. 2444 (“Elks Lodge”) was out in force at the Laguna Hills, CA mall this past Saturday, September 24, 2011. Drug Awareness Chairman Steve Rusie and his volunteers were hard at work passing out American Flags and drug awareness literature to mall shoppers.
The Elks Lodge “Say No to Drugs” program is just one of the many Elks programs aimed at the youth of America. Drug Awareness Chairman Rusie reported that he was happy with the warm response from youngsters and parents alike as he greeted them with a smile, an American Flag and drug awareness literature. Assisting him at the mall were Elks Lodge President Gloria LeCouvre, and Elk of the Month Vince Renga.

The Mission Viejo / Saddleback Elks Lodge No. 2444, celebrating forty one (41) years of service to the Saddleback Valley communities, is one of ten lodges in the Orange Coast District of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) whose headquarters is in Chicago, Illinois. The BPOE is a charitable organization with a 143 year history of giving, “Elks Care, Elks Share.”
