FAMILY DINNER NIGHT AT SOUPLANTATION
Join the Crown Valley PTA at the Souplantation in Laguna Niguel on December 8, 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Download a flyer from the CVES website, under the CROWN VALLEY NEWS tab.
SECRET SANTA/HELP CVES NEEDY CHILDREN
Last year, Crown Valley Elementary started the tradition of helping our struggling families during the holiday season. The community stepped and donated gift cards to toy stores, grocery stores, movie theaters, and ice cream shops, along with countless other goodies. All donations were given directly to the most needy of the Crown Valley students. Santa, himself, made the long trek from the North Pole during his busiest time to deliver the presents with the local fire department.
CVES will be carrying on this tradition once again. Donated items need to be delivered to the Crown Valley office by Monday, December 13. Please download a flyer from the CVES website. Questions can be directed to Sondra Hepburn at sdhepburn@gmail.com or Pat Brandt in the CVES office.
Please help the Crown Valley spirit shine on these families during the holiday season. All donations go directly to CVES children.
HOLIDAY PARADE
Crown Valley Elementary will once again be participating in the City of Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade on Saturday, December 11. You and your family are invited to represent CVES. See yourself on Cox TV the next day! All students participating must have a signed release and attend with a responsible adult. Please access the CVES website to find updated information and download an information flyer and permission slip.
TOYS FOR TOTS
In the spirit of the holiday season, Crown Valley Cares will be accepting donations for the Toys For Tots Program. Just bring a new, unwrapped gift and place it in one the bins located outside the CVES office during the week of December 6-10. A reminder flyer will be sent home soon. Further information will be posted on the CVES website, under the CROWN VALLEY NEWS tab.
SOCSA PRESENTS
SOCSA Presents: Little Women The Musical
Come enjoy the musical based on Louisa May Alcott’s classic 1869 semi-autobiographical novel, it focuses on the four March sisters: brassy tomboy-like, aspiring writer Jo, romantic Meg, pretentious Amy, and kind-hearted Beth – and their beloved Marmee, at home in Concord, Mass. while the family patriarch is away serving as Union Army chaplain during the Civil War. Intercut with the vignettes in which their lives unfold are several recreations of the melodramatic short stories Jo writes in her attic studio.
