LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Summer time is just around the corner and the Festival of Arts is excited to announce a new exhibit, Preview 2012. Presenting the works of newly juried Festival artists, the exhibit will showcase a wide range of mediums including photography, mixed media, sculpture, oil, watercolor and acrylic paintings. Preview 2012 runs now through June 10th at the Wells Fargo Bank in Laguna Beach. The public is welcome to join the artists for a free reception on Saturday April 21st, from 11 – 2pm at the Wells Fargo Bank.

Preview 2012 showcases a fascinating look into the world of the innovative and fresh new artwork of 24 prestigious artists from Orange County. These 24 exhibitors were recently juried into the Festival of Arts by a panel of seven knowledgeable artists and/or art experts to assure patrons the finest art experience that they expect from the show. These artists display the variety, personality, and atmosphere that will be available at the Festival of Arts all summer long, and will round out 140 artists for 2012.

Director of Exhibits, Education and Permanent Collections, Martin Betz commented, “I am excited to welcome this new group of artists to the Festival of Arts this summer. The quality of their work is outstanding and diverse.  I encourage you to see the show at Wells Fargo for a preview of a fantastic show marking the Festival’s 80th Anniversary.”

The artists and mediums being presented in Preview 2012 are Oil Painting: Paul Cheng, Josh Corbin, Nancy Egan, Amanda Fish, Gina Mead Howie, Robin Johnson, MN Kelly, Michelle LaRae, Lee Munsell, Arlene Rheinish, Ester Roi, Annette Wimmer-Huling, Photography: Ron Azevedo, Linda Grossman, Cheyne Walls, Watercolor: Wai-Sin Tong-Darbonne, Jewelry: V. Lee Cabanilla, Sculpture: Elaine Cohen, Encaustic: Michelle Lance, Furniture: Will Paul Silverman, Pastel: September McGee, Marie Tippets.

This free exhibit is part of an ongoing series of shows that the Festival of Arts is having at Wells Fargo this year. The Wells Fargo building is at 260 Ocean Avenue, Laguna Beach and is open to the public Monday through Friday 9am – 6pm. and Saturday 9am – 4pm.  The Festival of Arts is a non-profit organization whose proceeds go to support the arts in and about Laguna Beach.
