Vacation Bible School
(Laguna Niguel, CA, June 24, 2009) First Church of Christ, Scientist, is pleased to announce our 5th annual Vacation Bible School August 10th – August 14th from 9am-noon in our Sunday School for the community’s children. The church is located at 29012 Aloma Ave, Laguna Niguel, at the corner of Golden Lantern and Aloma, one block south of Crown Valley Parkway.
Vacation Bible School includes music, bible lessons and stories, crafts, games, snacks and fun for children ages 3 ½ through 5th grade. Older youth are invited to receive community service hours by volunteering to assist with Vacation Bible School. On Friday, the community and parents are invited to enjoy the children’s presentation at 11:30am in the church auditorium followed by a potluck lunch on the church parking lot.
The theme this year is: “How God Sees Me.” Monday, the children will explore the ABC’s of God, the Great I AM. Tuesday, the mini theme is God made me special. Wednesday, we will discuss family with the Joseph story in the Bible. Thursday, we will extend the theme to the way God sees our neighbor enabling us to love our neighbor. Friday, the theme will expand to church, community and the world.
