Tapestry, a Unitarian Universalist Congregation
A Member of the Unitarian Universalist association of congregations
Author William Lobdell returns for the third time as a popular guest speaker to Tapestry. He is an award-winning journalist, author, blogger and college lecturer. Lobdell spent eight years as a religion writer for the L.A. Times.
In 2009, Harper Collins published his critically acclaimed memoir, “Losing My Religion: How I Lost My Faith Reporting on Religion in America….and Found Unexpected Peace.”
The New York Times wrote in their review: “feels powerfully fresh….even tempered and humane.” He is a regular guest on NPR, has four sons and competes in triathlons, twice competing in an Ironman race.
“We are pleased to have William back at Tapestry to discuss a loss of faith in organized religion that many in America are facing,” said Susan Jagielko, member of Tapestry’s Worship Committee. “William has spoken to many of us at his two previous visits to our dogma-free congregation,” added Jagielko.
Open to the public at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, June 9, 2013 at 23436 Madero, Suite 140, Mission Viejo.
Refreshments and discussion follow the talk.
