12 Years In The Making!
“PATRON SAINT OF SIDESHOW”
Storefront theatre impresario Cynthia Galles had been producing original, avant-garde plays for 25 years at The Found Theatre in Long Beach when she learned she had breast cancer.
Like other difficult issues her theatre had explored, she knew this experience would wind up on stage to educate and enlighten through the medium of comedy. Long-time Found videographer Mike Brown documented Cynthia’s transformation of her breast cancer experience into the acclaimed play, “One Tit Wonder.”
Uplifting and entertaining, it chronicles not only her surreal battle with cancer, but the passion for theatre that allowed her to keep her small experimental theatre alive and well, against all odds, for more than 30 years.
