White Nelson to Co-Sponsor Nonprofit Management Forum Featuring Discussion of Banking and Access to Capital in 2011
White, Nelson & Co. is pleased to be a co-sponsor in presenting “Banking and Access to Capital in 2011,” on Friday, November 19, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at 8105 Irvine Center Drive, Suite 1250, Irvine. A panel will discuss the bank’s view of nonprofit organizations, nonprofit specific lending programs and alternative funding sources.
The presentation is one in a series offered by the Orange County Nonprofit Management Forum, sponsored by White Nelson, the law offices of Brown & Streza, LLP, BNY Mellon Wealth Management and Andreini & Company insurance services. The Forum has been developed for key executives and senior managers of operating nonprofit organizations in Orange County.
“For-profit executives have long had peer-to-peer forum organizations that provide the opportunity for development and roundtable discussion of pressing management issues and other topics of interest,” remarked Scott Jones, White Nelson’s Director of Practice Development. “Now, nonprofit executives have a forum as well.”
The Forum meets monthly, is free to participate, and features a presentation, roundtable discussion and peer-to-peer networking. Recent topics covered include:

The series has been popular with the nonprofit community, Jones noted, with 20 or more senior nonprofit executives in attendance at each session. Nonprofits represented at recent meetings include American Red Cross, Boys & Girls Clubs, Community SeniorServ, Discovery Science Center, Goodwill, Habitat for Humanity, Orangewood Children’s Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, Ocean Institute and the Volunteer Center of Orange County.
