Free informational session Saturday on the risk of falls in home and prevention – City of AV News

The Aliso Viejo Family Resource Center on Saturday will host a free informational session designed to help people prevent falls.

The “Take Charge Prevent Falls!” session is from 10 a.m. to noon March 29 at the Family Resource Center located at 24671 Via Iglesia.

Led by Steve Carpenter, a certified aging in place specialist with Orange County Down With Falls Coalition, the session will cover who falls, perception of risk, causes of falls, fall prevention strategies, balance and mobility, medical management and home-safety modifications.
