Santa Ana, CA – After doing the typical summertime outings to the beach or amusement parks, Arts & Learning Conservatory (A&L) invites families to enjoy a Friday evening of live musical theater with their presentations of: Suessical Revue, The Wizard of Oz, and The Hobbit.
These one hour performances will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 12, July 26, and August 9 featuring the talents of local students age 5-17 in full costume with all the lights, sound, and songs of three very popular stories. These family-friendly Friday evening performances are the presentation of A&L’s summer camp sessions allowing students to share their weeks of theatrical training with family, friends, and the public, too.
Suessical Revue on Friday, July 12 at 7 p.m. features he talents of children age 5-8 years who have learned the basics of acting, creative expressions, and ensemble work.
The Wizard of Oz on Friday, July 26 at 7 p.m. will take the audience on down the road in a slightly revised version of this classic production showcasing students age 9-17 years who have developed their acting skills and characterization.
The Hobbit on Friday, August 9 at 7 p.m. proudly includes a student string ensemble along with performers age 5-8 years who have learned more basic acting and creative expression elements.
A&L welcomes the public to attend to show support for their students’ weeks of training plus it is an excellent opportunity for parents to introduce children to the live theater. Theatrical training develops a child’s confidence, social skills, team building, and creativity. A&L offers year round theatrical programs for ages 5-18 at their Santa Ana center and on-site at schools, too.
Tickets for the shows are $8.00 per person and may be purchased online at www.ArtsandLearning.org or call 714-728-7100 for more information.
