NOTICE OF NON-DESCRIMINIATION POLICY

Grace Classical Academy admits students of any race, color, natural and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities accorded or made available to academy
students. Grace Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, color or national and ethnic origin. Grace Classical Academy reserves the right to select students on the basis
of religious belief, educational philosophy, and academic performance.

The Admissions Committee takes into consideration a variety of factors including the applicant’s spiritual and emotional
development, past academic and extra-curricular achievements and learning needs that might be met by the school.

I. Read the following education material to give you a better understanding of the characteristics and the
distinctions of a classical Christian education before submitting your Admissions Application.

c. The Case for Classical Christian Education, by Douglas Wilson
d. “The Lost Tools of Learning” by Dorothy Sayers (www.GraceClassicalAcademy.com)
e. Recovering the Lost Tools of Learning, by Douglas Wilson.

II. Attend a Parent Information Meeting, a Visitation Day, and request an Admissions Application.

III. Complete Admissions Application and Deliver Reference Forms to your respective pastor or elder and
current teacher. Verify these are completed and mailed directly to Grace Classical Academy Admissions as
soon as possible to avoid delays.

IV. Submit the Admissions Application and accompanying documentation. (This should be done before June
10th) Include the following with the Admissions Packet:
a. $125 Application Fee (non-refundable)
b. Certified copy of birth certificate* (Kindergarten applicants must turn 5 years old before September 1)
c. Copies of previous Standard Test results and most recent Report Card.
i. Incoming Kindergarten Students – Schedule a developmental readiness evaluation (request
a Kindergarten Readiness Form) with Chancy & Bruce.
ii. Incoming 1st-8th Grade Students Evaluation- standardized testing results should be
submitted to us as soon as possible prior to your family interview. The ERB or SAT Test is
preferred.
d. Tuition Assistance Application – If applying for tuition assistance, request an application from the
Academy office, complete it in its entirety and include all supporting documentation with your
child’s admissions application. Tuition Assistance is awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis as
funds are available.

V. Family Interview. Both parents (or guardians) and student will interview with the Principal. After we have
received your application and accompanying documentation, we will notify you of your interview date.

VI. Notification
. After the interview, you will be notified of the admissions decision by mail:
a. Accepted – An Enrollment Agreement will accompany the Acceptance Letter.
b. Wait Listed – Applicant is accepted, with admission contingent on class availability.
c. Denied – A letter will include specific reasons why admission has not been granted.

VII. Enrollment Fee & Family Fee Due (due June 1 for the early-bird rate).

VIII. Complete Enrollment Packet and return all forms (packets are mailed out upon receipt of Enrollment Fee).

***Students will not be admitted to classes unless all enrollment forms have been completed and turned-in.

IX. July 30th is the last day to enroll new students
