Halloween 2019 events at Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens

Date:

Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens rings in the Halloween spirit this October with three spook-tacular events as part of its commitment to community entertainment and education.

October 5 at 10 AM: Casa Kids’ Fall Garden Craft Children ages 6+ decorate “Cobweb Houseleek” succulents (which naturally grow white, cobwebb-y hairs) with spiders, ghosts and other creepy creatures to plant and take home in this garden-friendly craft. The event is free, but advance RSVPs are required.

October 15 at 6 PM: Casa Cinema presents House on Haunted Hill (1959) Watch a screening of the 1959 classic horror/suspense film, House on Haunted Hill! The film stars Vincent Price as an eccentric millionaire who invites five guests into his home for a spooky game: survive a night in the ‘haunted mansion’ and receive $10,000 each. Casa Romantica is the only place in Orange County where you can buy a movie ticket and a glass of wine for $10 or less. Screening takes place in our Main Salon.

October 25, 26, & 27 at 7-9 PM nightly: Casa Creepy Haunted House Casa Creepy Haunted House returns for its fourth Halloween season, with three nights of ghoulish fun! Billed as ‘South Orange County’s best family-friendly haunted attraction,’ the walk covers 2.5 acres through Casa Romantica’s built-in-1927 mansion (a registered historic landmark) and its botanical gardens. Casa staff and volunteers completely transform the cultural center during the last two weeks of October to include trick doors, booby traps, and a host of animatronic scares. In classic community fashion, the Haunted House is staffed each night by local volunteers of all ages who dress up and play the parts of werewolves, ghosts and witches to scare ticket-buying guests.

Casa Creepy Haunted House is designed to be suitable for families with children ages 8 and older. Although there is no touching, some lighting effects/objects/human interaction may startle participants; therefore, all ticket buyers are required to sign a waiver. Tickets are $12 for age 13 + and $7 for ages 0-12.
