Halloween Candy Grams
You’ve been booed!!! The PTA is hosting a Halloween candy gram exchange!! The candy grams are $1 each. A special treat will be delivered to the classes on Friday, October 29th! There are more candy gram sheets in the front office. The deadline to turn your grams in is Wednesday, October 27th!

Movies, popcorn, pizza, hot chocolate !!

22nd Annual WALK AGAINST DRUGS

The City of Mission Viejo, Orange County Sheriff’s Department, Saddleback Valley Unified School District and Capistrano Valley Unified School District are pleased to invite you to partner with us for another year of commitment to DRUG FREE lifestyles.
Shuttle Buses: will be available to and from Newhart Middle School to Mission High School 7:00 am to 1:00 pm
The day begins with a motivational rally featuring keynote speaker: 17-year-old Sarah Lonsert. Her accomplishments include being named Singer/Songwriter of the 2009 L.A. Music Awards, recent Grand Prize Winner in the USA Song writing Competition and overcoming autism.
For entertainment, Mission Viejo’s Got Talent Winner, PKSA Elite Demo Team will perform their winning routine to invigorate the crowd.
Afterward, the crowd will walk down La Paz Road through the Oso Creek Trail to the Fair at the Village Green. Entertainment includes performances by Sarah Lonsert, PKSA, Alyssa Mimms, Summer Dobbs and much much more!
Fair participants will also be greeted by the 3rd Annual South County Disaster Preparedness Expo: Promise to Prepare! Hosted by Supervisor Pat Bates, several county agencies will be on hand to discuss and distribute important preparedness information while having fun.
Then to follow is Red Ribbon Week 2010!
Monday, October 25th:
Red Ribbons will be placed around trees throughout school grounds
Tuesday, October 26th: “Sock It To Drugs Day”
Wear your craziest socks to school… “Socking It To Drugs…”
Wednesday, October 27th:
Turn Your Back On Drugs ( Wear your clothes backwards)
Thursday, October 28th:
Red Paper Chain Plege Day
Friday, October, 29th:
Wear Red for “ Spirit Day”
