Hawk Talk – Grab a Byte Event @ Baja Fresh Support Moulton Technology!!

Date:

November 10, 2010

Capistrano Unified School District
MOULTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: Established 1975
A National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence

Our Mission is Learning. We are partners with you to help every child strive for excellence academically, socially and emotionally. Moulton Hawks (students) will learn and grow in a positive atmosphere where teachers, staff, parents, and students are enthusiastic about the learning

THANGS FOR GIVING
Thank you for supporting Moulton’s annual food drive. Many bags of needed food and household products were generously donated all three days of the food drive. Our kids certainly showed their compassion and care to by participating. Student Council members did a great job promoting and organizing this important event. The Mobile Food Pantry distributes food and supplies to Orange County families in need and the families of Camp Pendleton Marines.

Way to go Moulton Hawks!
FOUR DAY WEEKEND!
All CUSD offices and campuses will be closed on Thursday, November 11 and Friday, November 12 in honor of Veterans’ Day. Students return back to schools on Monday, November 15th.

PARENT SURVEY
Calling all Parents, Parents across the district are being invited to complete an online survey. The survey is designed to gain information about the education of children and provides an opportunity for parents to express how school is preparing children for the future. Questions also inquire how parents and children use technology for learning and communicating.

You may take the survey by accessing the Moulton website @ mnes.capousd.ca.schoolloop.com. Simply click on Parent Technology Survey under School News.

MOULTON HAWK’S CELEBRATION BOOK CLUB
Would you like to honor your child’s birthday, applaud a major accomplishment, recognize good grades or just proclaim your child an outstanding Moulton Hawk?
You can by purchasing a book for the Moulton Library! What a great way to celebrate, increase our books in the library and leave a legacy behind at Moulton!

In recognition of your donation to the library, your child will be presented with the book donated by the principal during a Friday morning Flag Salute (they’ll be the first to check it out) and a “Book Plate” will be affixed to the inside cover of your book selection announcing ‘This book was donated in your child’s honor’. They’ll also receive a special bookmark to keep and to remember their donation.

We will be displaying our monthly Celebration Book Club donator’s pictures in the library, as well. All books are library ready and district approved. $20 reserves your book, so plan ahead!

Forms are on moultonpta.org and at the front office. Lists of books are available at the front office or by email. Questions, email Linda Fong at lindawbm@hotmail.com.
