**ATTENTION 8TH GRADE PARENTS**
HIGH SCHOOL REGISTRATION QUESTIONS:
The high school academic advisors wanted us to share with you some answers to common questions about registering for high school.
Your child’s classes in Math, English and Science have been preselected for you.
Please leave the spaces next to the following blank:
College and Career Prep (CCP) – this is a semester long required course for all freshmen, we will put your child in this course either first or second semester depending on what works best for your child’s schedule.
Health – this is a semester long required course for all freshmen, we will put your child in this course either first or second semester depending on what works best for your child’s schedule (Please note if you plan to take this course online during the summer)
PE – Please list any sports that you plan to tryout for. These will count for your PE class. If you are not trying out for a sport please leave this blank and we will enroll your child in a semester long freshmen PE class
Geography is the standard semester long freshman elective that we can guarantee a spot for your freshman students. You can list this in the elective space. If you would like another elective you may list a different elective in the elective space, and we will consider it based on availability. Geography is not a required class but it is one that we feel is valuable and fits nicely into the freshman schedule.
If you have additional questions please make a copy of your registration form, turn in the original to your middle school and bring the copy to one of our Question and Answer sessions 4 to 5 pm in the Aliso Niguel High School Library on the following dates and we will be happy to sit down with you individually.
