Ocean Institute to Celebrate International Surfing Day 2011
Dana Point, CALIF., – The Ocean Institute will join in the celebration of International Surfing Day on Sunday, June 19, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Established in 2004 by Surfing Magazine and the Surfrider Foundation, the day celebrates surfing, ocean conservation and awareness.
Special features for the day include activities to learn about the Surf Zone and wave dynamics and energy, test water samples to determine the health of our oceans and find out how to become a good steward of our oceans.
