Age Well Senior Services Ultimate Charity
Golf Tournament Set For June 4
The Ultimate Charity Golf Tournament – Clyde Wright Invitational, which benefits nonprofit Age Well Senior Services, is set to tee off at Arroyo Trabuco Country Club in Mission Viejo on Monday, June 4.

“On behalf of Age Well, we thank our sponsors and golfers in advance for their support of the tournament. As before, all proceeds will go directly to help fund our critical programs, including Meals on Wheels,” said Age Well’s CEO Steve Moyer.
A fixture at Angel Stadium, Wright pitched for the Angels. His 22-victory season with the Angels in 1970, which included a no-hitter, still stands to this day.

Interested sponsors and golfers can contact call Beth Apodaca at (949) 498-3322 or via email at bapodaca@myagewell.org.
Foursomes are available for $1,000 each, with individual golfers priced at $225 per golfer, before Monday, May 21. After that day, prices are $1,100 for foursomes and $275 per golfer. The package includes beer, soda and water and a box lunch provided by Langlois Fancy Food. Also included are an evening buffet dinner, silent auction, prizes, and an awards presentation. Village Real Estate is sponsoring the”19th hole” celebration and a roving beverage cart.
Registration begins at 10, with a putting contest slated for 11, followed by a shotgun start, four-player scramble at noon. Activities include access to the driving range before the tournament, along with longest drive, closest to the pin, and hole-in-one competitions. The hole-in-one prize is a new Infiniti automobile.
Each year through Meals on Wheels, Age Well provides more than 300,000 meals to seniors who are living at home and are unable to prepare their own meals or go out to eat, and who otherwise would have little or no assistance to obtain adequate meals.
As a nonprofit organization, Age Well Senior Services relies on a combination of funds through the Older Americans Act and other governmental sources along with critically important gifts, grants, and contributions from private and corporate donors. Importantly, nearly 91% of all revenue goes towards programs and services.
