KALEIDOSCOPE HOSTS SUMMER EVENTS TO BENEFIT MAKE-A-WISH® ORANGE COUNTY AND THE INLAND EMPIRE AND ADOPTS THE WISH OF A LOCAL GIRL
TUSTIN, Calif.
On Tuesday, Sept. 25, Make-A-Wish presented Kaleidoscope Center management with a plaque for donating $5,000 and adopting the wish of 17-year-old Olivia from Irvine. Kaleidoscope Center in Mission Viejo was the site for two events in August benefiting Make-A-Wish.
The donation marks the second consecutive year that Kaleidoscope hosted the Red, White and Dine Wine Extravaganza and the Kaleido-kids Mini-Carnival. It is also the second year Kaleidoscope adopted the wish of a local child facing a life-threatening illness.
“We are so thankful to Kaleidoscope for adopting Olivia’s wish and for the awareness raised for Make-A-Wish through these community events,” said Rebecca Kwait, development manager for Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire.
The Red, White and Dine Wine Extravaganza was held August 15 and featured approximately 18 boutique and renowned wineries. Guests enjoyed live music, as well as some of the best hors d’ oeuvres and finger foods found at Kaleidoscope Center restaurants.
Kaleidoscope’s courtyard was jam-packed for the Kaleido-kids Mini-Carnival on August 21. Kids lined up to donate toys and backpacks to Make-A-Wish and quickly got in line for their favorite carnival ride. The event even brought several wish children and families out for this day of fun.
“It gives Kaleidoscope great pleasure to be able to partner with an organization such as Make-A-Wish that helps make dreams come true for children who are suffering from life-threatening medical conditions,” said Lauran Roberson, director of marketing with Sentinel Development, Kaleidoscope’s asset management.
Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire is a local non-profit and relies on the support of the community, and companies like Sentinel Development/Kaleidoscope Center, to help in its mission of granting wishes. The vision of Make-A-Wish is to grant every eligible child’s wish and in doing so, provide that child with hope, strength and joy.
