Kaleidoscope will host a “Kaleido-Kids” Mini Carnival Day on Wednesday, July 27, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and the first “Red, White, & Dine” – Wine Extravaganza on Wednesday, August 10, from 7 to 10 p.m. Proceeds from both events will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Orange County and the Inland Empire. Local wish kids and their families have been invited to attend.
The “Kaleido-Kids” Mini Carnival Day, featuring a Backpack and Toy Drive, is a FREE-entry event and open to the public. It will include inflatable games and obstacle courses, a trackless train, organized competitive games, a face painter, a balloon twister, concessions for purchase, a prize wheel and more! Bring a new backpack or toy to donate to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and receive extra prize-winning opportunities, as well as a Kaleidoscope PRISM VIP card, offering discounts at all Kaleidoscope establishments through May 31, 2012.
Children who receive wishes from the Foundation are given backpacks filled with toys as an ice-breaker at the first meeting or as an enhancement to take on travel wishes. (Items that can not be accepted for donation are: used items, stuffed animals, weapon-like toys, hair accessories, brushes/combs, and skin care items.)
“Red, White & Dine” Wine Extravaganza—Come enjoy an evening of starry skies, petite cuisine, and fine wine. Several boutique and renowned wineries will feature a wide array of their finest wines while Kaleidoscope restaurants will pair and tray-pass specially selected
finger foods. A wide array of cheeses will be displayed on two separate tables, one highlighting red wine pairings and the other, white wine pairings.
Guests will be entertained with live music, receive SWAG bags, have a chance to win raffle prizes and purchase bottles of wine. Proceeds from ticket, wine and raffle sales will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Event pre-sale tickets are available online at www.gokaleidoscope.com for $40 per person, $70 per couple and $15 per designated driver. Prices at the door are $50 per person and $90 per couple. Cost for designated drivers stays the same.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Born in 1980 when a group of caring volunteers helped a young boy fulfill his dream of becoming a police officer, the Foundation is now the largest wish-granting charity in the world, with 65 chapters in the United States and its territories. With the help of generous donors and nearly 25,000 volunteers, the Make-A-Wish Foundation grants a wish every 40 minutes and has granted more than 200,000 wishes in the U.S. since inception. “Kaleido-Kids” Mini Carnival and the “Red, White, & Dine” Wine Extravaganza are two of several special events to take place at the Kaleidoscope this summer. Kaleidoscope, located at 27741 Crown Valley Parkway, was built in 1998. It is in the beginning stages of a transformation bringing new landscape, furniture, common area improvements, signage and new-tenant build-outs, including a 47,000-square foot LA Fitness. “We are excited to bring new energy and a positive new image to this unique multi-level center,” said a representative from Westport Capital Partners, LLC, who purchased Kaleidoscope in July 2010. “We have already made progress toward establishing Kaleidoscope as one of the premier entertainment complexes in Southern California, but the best is yet to come.” For information on other summer events at Kaleidoscope, visit http://www.gokaleidoscope.com.
