About the Artist
“My life as an artist revolves around the ocean”. Kurt Weismair is a self-taught artist specializing in contemporary seascapes of his beloved Laguna Beach. “I’ve been obsessed with the ocean my entire life, painting gives me an outlet to share this obsession with others.”
Kurt’s interest in painting is not limited to the traditional style of seascape we often associated with the subject. “I enjoy merging style and technique to create art that is uniquely my own.”
Kurt’s contemporary seascapes are juxtaposed by his night paintings. “Painting night scenes gives my art balance and keeps things fresh.”
