For the month of July, Kurt Weismair will be the featured Artist of the month. “My life as an artist revolves around the ocean. It’s where I receive both my inspiration and content. I am endlessly fascinated by its constant change in form and light and nowhere do I feel more at home than swimming in her waters. The goal of my art is to simply document these moments and try to share them with others.”
In his relatively short career Kurt has created both award winning art and commissioned pieces that clients have referred to as ‘museum quality’.
“I enjoy creating art with many different objectives in mind. Whether working on a commission, painting in the spirit of competition, or creating pieces for my own personal satisfaction, painting is something I must do. ”
Kurt is a self-taught professional artist and musician specializing in contemporary seascapes of his beloved Laguna Beach.
