Saddleback College’s holiday tradition wouldn’t be complete without joining Clara and her Nutcracker prince to experience the enchanting Nutcracker Ballet.
The Laguna Ballet, a non-profit junior ballet company serving Orange County families since 1985, presents its 30th anniversary production of The Nutcracker December 15th-18th in its ninth season on the McKinney Theater stage at Saddleback College
More than 90 Orange County students come together each year, under the direction of Shery Gilbert, to perform in a full-length production of The Nutcracker, one of America’s popular holiday traditions. This year’s guest artists are is Joan Boada (Dancing Cavalier and Snow King), former principal dancer with the San Francisco Ballet; Jamie Diaz (Arabian Pas de Deux) soloist in the National Ballet of Cuba and the Boston Ballet; Carlos Quenedit (Dancing Cavalier and Snow King), awarded 1st place and Best Individual Interpretation at the International Ballet Festival of Havana; and Sven Toorvald (The Nutcracker and Herr Drosselmyer), former principal dancer with the Houston Ballet Company.
