David Wilson of Laguna Beach took home the top prize in the Early Bird 1 drawing of the 12th annual Laguna Beach Million Dollar Home Raffle, which was held September 1. Wilson won the choice of a trip to Australia/New Zealand or Fiji or $10,000 cash, winner’s choice.

The Grand Prize, a Laguna Beach home or $1 million cash, winner’s choice, will be awarded at a drawing and party to be held on November 5, should a sufficient number of tickets be sold. In the past 11 years, the Grand Prize has been awarded 10 of 11 times. The final deadline to buy tickets is October 20. Those who buy tickets early or multiple tickets will have additional chances to win.
All proceeds benefit the Ocean Institute and participating nonprofit organizations. Tickets are $150 and only 20,000 tickets will be sold.
“The home raffle has produced thousands of happy winners, and has raised crucial funding that benefits the 115,000 school children whom the Ocean Institute serves every year,” continued Abramson.

About the Ocean Institute
The Ocean Institute is an ocean education center that offers in-depth Marine Science, Maritime History and Outdoor Education programs. The facility includes state-of-the-art teaching labs, the Maddie James Seaside Learning Center, two historic tallships, and an oceanographic research vessel.
