Chabad Jewish Center of Laguna Niguel – Let’s show the victims of the storm that they have our love and support!

Hello friends,

There has very recently been a tragedy in New York and New Jersey that has completely disrupted lives and made living there a challenge, to say the least. We are blessed to live in a place where we do not have to worry about a storm the likes of what the victims of Sandy just lived through. Let’s show the victims of the storm that they have our love and support!

In addition to the generous monetary support you have contributed through Chabad’s Relief Fund, I have found another way to help our friends in need in the New York/New Jersey area.

There is a Charity called Shore To Help Jersey Strong that is collecting and distributing supplies to the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Being from New York, this tragedy hit me closer to home than I care to imagine. I have been in close contact with friends and family who are still there, trying to stay warm with no electricity. They are in the better situation than many, they have not lost their homes and all of their possessions. We can help! I have a list of supplies that can help the victims to stay warm and begin to rebuild their lives. Every little bit helps! Let’s show our friends Back East that they have our love.

These are the supplies being requested:

New blankets and pillows,
Winter jackets (all sizes, gently used is great),
Winter boots (all sizes, gently used is great),
Winter scarves, gloves and hats,
Diapers (size 5 and 6), Pull ups,
Gift cards (Target, Home Depot, Lowes, CVS)
School supplies (backpacks, lunch boxes, crayons and notebooks).

Everything donated will be sent to help a family in need. Every little bit helps!
