Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade

Date:

The 20th Annual Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade will be held on
December 8th at 10 a.m. on Crown Valley Parkway between Nueva Vista and Central Park
Drive.

This year, the Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade Committee is thrilled to reveal Mr. Richard
Burgi as the 2018 Holiday Parade Grand Marshal. Burgi is an American film and television
actor best known for his roles of Detective Jim Ellison on The Sentinel and as Karl Mayer
on Desperate Housewives. He started in community theater as a child and began pursuing
his acting career in the mid-1980s.

The Parade Committee is also delighted to announce Nickelodeon stars, Ashley Argota
and Tommy Hobson will be joining the Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade as celebrity guests.
They both will be starring in the Laguna Playhouse’s holiday production of Beauty and the
Beast, A Christmas Rose, a Lythgoe Family Panto. Argota is best known for her roles on
shows True Jackson VP, Lab Rats, and How to Build a Better Boy. Hobson is known for
The Fresh Beat Band and “Rachel Dratch’s late night Snack.”

Since its start in 1999, the Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade has ushered in the holiday
season with joyful fun. This year’s theme of “Snow Much Fun” promises a continuation of
this tradition. The parade will feature beautiful equestrian units, patriotic and inspirational
military tributes, world-class athletes, spirit-filled youth groups, classic auto clubs, talented
marching bands, and of course, holiday cheer.

As was the case last year, the City of Laguna Niguel asks that there is no sitting in the
street, to be respectful of the new landscaped center medians and not to sit or stand on
plants. Attendees may sit along the edge of the concrete, not in the street or landscaping.

With the cooperation of the Chet Holifield Federal Complex (Ziggurat building) the Laguna
Niguel Parade Committee has made arrangements for shuttle transportation from the
Southwest corner of the Ziggurat parking lot to the middle of the parade route on La Paz
and Crown Valley Parkway. There will be “pick up” location signage in the parking lot and
at the “drop off” location for the return to the parking lot. The shuttle will be on a five-minute
turn around the schedule and will start at 8 a.m. from the parking lot. The shuttle service will
continue during the parade and until 1 p.m.
