Storytimes
Lapsit storytime
Wednesday mornings, 10 am. Birth through age two.
Simple stories, lots of fingerplays, puppets, and easy activities for
ages 2-1/2 and under. Emphasis on repetition to aid our youngest
learners. No registration required.
Preschool Storytime:
Wednesday mornings, ages two and up
An active storytime with new stories every week, including music and
dance time for kids up to 5 years old. No registration required.
For Teens
Kaplan ACT vs. SAT Practice Test
Saturday, July 12th, 10:3o am-2:30 pm
What is better for your teen’s educational style and career path? Take a
practice ACT vs SAT test and find out! This test will be 4 hours in length
and test results will be emailed to test takers. Refreshments will be
available.
Book Deconstruction/Reconstruction!
Saturday, July 26th, 2pm
Teens are invited to come to the library and turn a worn out, beat up old
book into an amazing work of art! Join James Jo, our resident Master of
Disaster and his assistant in destruction Teen Librarian Amber Ray!
Teens won’t believe what they can turn a junky old book into!
LIVE Hunger Games Teen Volunteer Appreciation and End of
Summer Party!
Saturday, August 2nd, 1pm
Join “Effie Trinket” aka our Teen Librarian Amber Ray to celebrate the end
of summer and to present certificates of Volunteer Service to our amazing
Teen Summer Reading Volunteers! We’ll be learning about European
weaponry and fighting from the amazing Swordscholars!
We’ll be having some amazing demonstrations, prizes and refreshments for
all Teen Tributes! May the odds be in your favor to win some of our great
give aways!
(Please no very young children at this event—we ask that all Tributes
attending be ages 8 and up for this event!)
