QUIKSILVER/ROXY NATIONAL JUNIOR OPEN
IRVINE, CA—Advantage Tennis Academy, the Southland’s premier boarding academy for aspiring junior tennis players, is pleased to announce that one of its rising stars, Brynn Boren, has won the Quiksilver/Roxy National Junior Open Girls 18s Tournament on May 26th, 2009. The tournament was held in Palm Dessert, CA at the Rancho Las Palmas Resort. With this win, Boren’s national ranking jumped from 62 to 44.
The 17-year-old Laguna Niguel native is one of the fastest upward movers in the U.S. and has set high goals for her future. Boren has competed in ITF World tournaments and lower level pro events but is focusing on Girls 18s USTA for the summer. She trains daily at Advantage Tennis Academy and hopes to obtain a USTA top 10 Girls 18s ranking by 2009 summer’s end.
When Boren is not competing on the court, she is training with Advantage Tennis Academy Head Coach Jimmy Johnson, who she has worked closely with for one and a half years. “Boren is one of the strongest junior tennis players on the circuit right now,” Johnson explained. “She has the skill and talent to take her game to the next level. Those of us who are familiar with her game have no doubt that she will reach that top 10 ranking by the end of summer.”
Boren said: “The thing I like best about Advantage Tennis Academy is that it is always a tough day on the tennis court, but the coaches and the kids make it a fun experience with tons of laughs that I will always remember.”
