Tapestry, A Unitarian Universalist (UU) Congregation welcomes its new consulting minister, Tom Own-Towle on September 6, 2009.
After a summer of volunteer lectures and guest speakers, the congregation’s traditional minister-based services will resume with one of Rev. Owen-Towle’s much anticipated and nationally recognized sermons.
Rev. Owen-Towle brings over 40 years of UU service to Tapestry, having served congregations in Germany, Iowa, Michigan and California. He has authored over 20 books since he was ordained in 1967. Most recently, he has served as interim minister of San Diegito Church in San Diego county. Rev. Owen-Towle is highly respected by his ministerial colleagues and considered one of the most talented ministers in the UU Pacific South West District.
