MAGAZINE AND COOKIE DOUGH TURN-IN DAY IS TOMORROW Students should go straight to the MPR before school begins to turn in their magazine and cookie dough orders along with payment. Remember, our goal was for each student to try and get seven orders. Thank you for supporting AVMS!
IMPORTANT ATTENDANCE INFORMATION FOR PARENTS Good attendance is essential to the success of our students. When students miss school, they miss out on instruction and activities that occur in the classroom and it can be challenging for them to make up work.
If your student will be ABSENT, please make sure to call the school each and every day they will not be attending school. Contact Chrissy Rogers in Attendance at 831-2622. Our phone line has a 24 hour answering machine so if you know the night before you can call in at that time. Also, please take note, your child is tardy if they arrive at school after their 1st period has started. If they do not come into the office to clear their absence they will be credited with an unexcused absence. You will receive a call from the school regarding an absence if you have not called in. If we call and leave a message, please respond as soon as possible. Unexcused absences are unable to be changed after 72 hours.
If your student must LEAVE SCHOOL EARLY, a parent must come into the office to sign out the student.
NON STUDENT DAY Friday, October 4, 2013 there is no school for students. This is an instructional furlough day for teachers.
