VIVA LA MÚSICA KICKS OFF: Latin flavor sizzles with some of the hottest entertainment as Viva La Música returns at SeaWorld, weekends April 30–May 22. The concert series features live performances from award-winning Latin artists, plus delicious Hispanic food, and the fiery flair of Hispanic heritage. Guests will experience the pulsating sounds of the lively Latin beats, which will include Latin pop, rock, salsa and mariachi. The red-hot headliners are: Los Tucanes de Tijuana, April 30; Intocable, May 1; Zion and Lennox, May 7; Maria Gabriela and Peche from ISA TK+, May 8; Belanova, May 14; Fonseca, May 15; Prince Royce, May 21; and El Gran Combo, May 22. Two shows will be offered at 4 and 6:30 p.m. Viva La Música is included with park admission (wristbands will be distributed for concert seating, which is on a first-come, first-served basis). HAPPY TAILS: Long known for helping marine animals in need, SeaWorld is also reaching out to some furry, four-legged creatures by partnering with the Helen Woodward Animal Center to encourage adoptions of homeless dogs and cats. “SeaWorld’s Happy Tails” is a new animal adoption program that will provide pet lovers two free single-day admissions to SeaWorld when they adopt a dog or cat from the Helen Woodward Animal Center starting April 30 and continuing through Oct. 31. Tickets are valid for a single-day admission to the park any time within one year of the adoption. Tickets will be printed onsite at the center. SeaWorld has supported local animal shelters by providing homes, and a second chance at life, for hundreds of abandoned and neglected animals. Considered by many untrainable, these adopted animals now steal the stage — and fans’ hearts — as stars in the park’s popular show “Pets Rule!” Promoting the importance of shelter adoptions, these furry ambassadors bring smiles to thousands of guests every day. ‘ONCE OCEAN’ GRAND OPENING: SeaWorld San Diego will debut an all-new killer whale show Memorial Day Weekend, connecting guests to the sea with a new level of energy, excitement and vibrancy as it educates and inspires them to make a difference in this world. “One Ocean” features SeaWorld’s majestic killer whales as ambassadors of the sea, and the ocean as the center of our natural world. The show connects guests with these remarkable animals and immerses the audience in the vivid colors and sensations of the underwater world. At the core of the show is the unifying message that both animals and humans are part of one world, with one ocean, and its future is in our hands to cherish and protect. Shamu Stadium — with its three-story set, panoramic LED screens and hundreds of surround-sound speakers — will feature special effects that envelop guests in the show experience, including brilliantly colored lights; soaring fountains; stunning underwater imagery; and an original, contemporary musical score with global rhythms. “One Ocean” will open May 28.
