Mission Viejo / Saddleback Valley Elks #2444 is proud to announce the initiation of 24 new members for October. The Saddleback Valley is comprised of many cities, but this month we tapped many of those plus more in Orange County region: three new members from Mission Viejo, two from Laguna Hills, two from Aliso Viejo, three from Laguna Niguel, two from Laguna Beach, two from Laguna Woods, two from Rancho Santa Margarita, one from Ladera Ranch, one from Costa Mesa, one from Trabuco Canyon, one from Irvine and one from Camp Pendleton.
Following the formal initiation, all new members expressed their desire to support the lodge. Most have interest in supporting our veterans and disabled children. One new member is a grandmother to two special needs children, one is full time military (USMC) at Camp Pendleton that will assist veterans. One gentleman has just moved from New York where his father was an Elk and he wishes to carry on the family tradition of helping. Exalted Ruler, Dave McLeod, thanked all the new members and stated “It’s refreshing to see so many new members outside our Mission Viejo area that are willing to support our lodge and Elkdom”.
Mission Viejo/Saddleback Valley Elks Lodge #2444 is celebrating 46 years of service to Saddleback Valley Communities. It is one of 10 lodges in the Orange Coast District of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) whose headquarters is in Chicago, Illinois.
