Newly initiated members from Mission Viejo are: Michael Brown, Kimberly Dalman, Stacey Haslett, Keli Horton, Matthew Jaslove, Tracy Liberman, Rose Maroe Marsella, Griselda Rogoff, Marie Shannon, Raymond Wert, and Brendan Murphy. Rancho Santa Margarita residents Mike Gracey, and Joni Roman were also initiated, and from Lake forest Antonio Patricio, and Daryl Tibbls. Also becoming new Elks were Katherine Cook from Dove Canyon and John Jackson from Ladera Ranch, and Michael King from Nicholasville KY.
Several of the new members began their adventure into Elkdom by volunteering to take part in the visit to the Orange County Rescue Mission where the Elks will stage a carnival for the residents of that facility for the homeless. They will join the other thirty-two (32) Elks in manning the game booths, preparing food, and providing an afternoon of fun, food, gifts and prizes for the appreciative women and children who call the Mission home.
The Mission Viejo/Saddleback Valley Elks Lodge #2444 is celebrating 48 years of service to Saddleback Valley Communities. It is one of 10 lodges in the Orange Coast District of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) whose headquarters is in Chicago, Illinois. The BPOE is a charitable organization with a 148 year history of giving. “Elks Care Elks Share” For information regarding Elks programs or membership, call 949 830-3557.
