
Mission Viejo Saddleback Valley Elks welcomed six (6) new members in November 2015.
Edward Bauman and Frank Yturalde of Laguna Woods, Clyde Denison and Ronnie McKeon of Mission Viejo, Derrick Gallego of Rancho Santa Margarita and Vera Pavelac of Santa Ana.
The ritual of initiation was performed by Elks Exalted Ruler (ER) Camacho Alvarez and his corps of Lodge Officers. ER Alvarez welcomed the new members inviting them to kick off their Elks activities by volunteering to work in any of the many charitable events that are upcoming over the holidays.
Lodge major events include the Christmas Party for the developmentally challenged men, women, and children of the Saddleback Valley on Dec 12th.
The annual event is expected to host close to two-hundred (200) invited guests. Also scheduled are toy drives, visits to the Orange County Rescue Mission, Homeless Shelter, Vets hospital visits, and fundraising holiday dinner dances.
The Mission Viejo/Saddleback Valley Elks Lodge #2444 is celebrating 45 years of service to Saddleback Valley Communities. It is one of 10 lodges in the Orange Coast District of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) whose headquarters is in Chicago, Illinois.
