
Tapestry, A Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Mission Viejo has selected its new minister, the Rev. Jennifer Owen-O’Quill who begins her ministry September 4, 2011. Rev. Owen-O’Quill comes to Tapestry directly from a Unitarian Universalist congregation in Chicago, where she served for ten years. Before that she studied at Meadville Lombard Theological School in 2001 before being ordained as a Unitarian minister. Owen-O’Quill will be “coming back home” to her Southern California roots, bringing with her husband David, also a UU minister, their young son Daniel, as well as her mother.
Tapestry is a Unitarian Universalist Congregation located in Mission Viejo for thirty-five years. Unitarian Congregation members, unlike other religious institutions, call their own ministers through a democratic process.
