Mitzi Ortiz has been named Aliso Viejo's new city clerk. She fills the role of retiring City Clerk Susan Ramos beginning Nov. 4

Date:

Ortiz comes to the city of Aliso Viejo with a wealth of experience, having worked more than 14 years in city clerk departments. Most recently, she spent five years in the post at the city of Lathrop, a city of nearly 18,000 in the San Joaquin Valley.

Before that, Ortiz worked in the city clerk departments in Murrieta and San Juan Capistrano.

Along with her city clerk experience, Mitzi has extensive experience with public information and website administration — skills that will be valuable assets to the city of Aliso Viejo.

Ortiz graduated from Ashford University with a bachelor of arts degree in organizational management. She is actively involved in the City Clerks Association of California.

“Mitzi will be a welcomed addition to our staff and a key member of the management team,” said City Manager Dave Doyle.
