SIGN UP FOR THE POLE TO POLE 5K FUN RUN AT SEAWORLD: Participants can still register for the third annual SeaWorld® San Diego Pole to Pole Fun Run on April 6, 2014. Participants in the 5K will sprint (or stroll) by sea lions and dolphins, birds and Shamu®, too. Runners, walkers, and of course animals, will cheer participants on as they journey through the park. Pole to Pole participants will meet SeaWorld costume characters and animal ambassadors, and learn about research and conservation efforts from Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute, the SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund and SeaWorld experts. Registered runners will also receive a Pole to Pole 5K Fun Run T-shirt, a light breakfast, an opportunity drawing for prizes and free race-day, single-day admission to SeaWorld Sunday, April 6. EXPLORER’S REEF COMES ASHORE: Explorer’s Reef™ is officially open! Premiered in conjunction with SeaWorld’s 50th Celebration on March 21, Explorer’s Reef completely transforms the marine park’s arrival experience into a “world beneath the waves.” Guests enter the park beneath a massive wave sculpture, nearly 30 feet tall and 100 feet long, giving them the impression they’re in an underwater world. This multi-million dollar undersea oasis features state-of-the-art touch pools teeming with marine life, such as cleaner fish that nibble at guests’ hands, for a hands-in interaction. SeaWorld’s 50th Celebration, an 18-month extravaganza, promises a Sea of Surprises™.
SEAWORLD’S 50th CELEBRATION MAKES ITS DEBUT: For five decades, SeaWorld® San Diego has created memories to last a lifetime.
