MUSIC UNDER STARS OFF TO ROCKIN’ START
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA. (July 13, 2012) – Mission San Juan Capistrano began its popular summer
concert series, “Music Under the Stars,” on Saturday, July 7 in front of a sellout crowd in the scenic central
courtyard of the Mission.
Opening act “Fortunate Son: A Tribute to the Music of John Fogerty and Creedence Clearwater Revival”
got the crowd warmed up as the sun set. They were followed by “The Long Run: Experience the Eagles,”
who filled the dance floor until the last note was played.
The five-concert series still has tickets available for two remaining shows: “Hot August Night: Neil Diamond
Tribute” on Aug. 4, and “Jumping Jack Flash: Celebrating the Rolling Stones” on Aug. 18. For ticket

“A Tribute to Elton John” on July 21 and the series finale, “The Fab Four: Ultimate Tribute to the Beattles
with Ed Sullivan” on Sept. 1 have been sold out. Tickets for next summer’s concert series will go on sale in
January, 2013.
Proceeds from the concerts go to preservation of Mission San Juan Capistrano, recognized as the
birthplace of Orange County.

of quality permanent exhibits featuring original artifacts as well as traveling and temporary exhibits on a wide variety

Foundation, which is comprised of business and community leaders committed to ensuring the long term
preservation and viability of Orange County’s only Mission. The Mission receives no funding from either the Church
or the State of California and charges admission funds as a means of providing public access.

a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Good Friday afternoon. Admission is $9 adults; $8 seniors
