New Docent Training Classes at Mission San Juan Capistrano
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, February 4, 2009 – Mission San Juan Capistrano invites new volunteers to become a docent, and learn more about volunteering at the Mission by attending docent training classes on three consecutive Saturdays, Feb. 28, March 7 & 14, 9 a.m. – noon in the Mission conference room. There will be a fourth training date on a day yet to be determined.
Docents lead about 2,500 tours of the Mission each year, and engage in a variety of special projects to inform visitors about Mission history. Docents must be age 21 or older.

Mission San Juan Capistrano is open 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily. The Mission operations are funded by gate admissions – preservation work is funded by grants and fundraising efforts. To reach the Mission, take I-5 to the Ortega Highway exit to San Juan Capistrano. Admission: $9 adults, $8 seniors, $5 children ages 3-11, and under 3 free.
