Registration open for Ocean to Alpine Adventure, a new Ocean Institute summer camp for teens who have completed 9th grade, July 26 – August 1.
Join a group of like-minded young people for the summer adventure of a lifetime. Science, community service and outdoor exploration will be the focus of this week-long camping trip through the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Experience the wilderness by swimming in lakes, exploring mountain streams, hiking rugged trails and sleeping under the stars.
We will set up base camps and go on excursions to day-hike in the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest, canoe Mono Lake, volunteer doing habitat restoration and explore California’s public lands. Learn the best way to set up a tent, cook outdoors and earn volunteer hours, all the while developing life-ling friendships.
