PTSA MEMBERSHIP MEETING
Please join us on Thursday, March 12, at 2:30 p.m. in the DJAMS library as we elect our PTSA officers for next year; begin planning for Staff Appreciation Day; and get an update from Mr. Carter on School District budget deliberations. SCOLIOSIS SCREENING (For 7th Grade Girls/8th Grade Boys Only)
On Tuesday, March 10, we will be conducting scoliosis screening for 7th grade girls and 8th grade boys. The screening will take place during P.E. classes. Girls should wear a swim suit top, sports bra or halter top under their blouse on this day.
ATTENTION PARENTS OF 8TH GRADERS
Aliso Niguel High School counselors will visit DJAMS on Tuesday, March 24, to present registration materials. This will take place during social studies classes. Please check for this information in your child’s backpack when he/she gets home.
On Wednesday, March 25, Aliso Niguel High School will present 8th Grade Parent Night at 6:30 p.m., in the ANHS gym. This presentation will explain how to fill out the registration forms, give advice for classes for next year, and outline requirements for both high school graduation and college admissions. After the presentations, there will be tables set up with information regarding extra-curricular and co-curricular sports, clubs, and activities that are offered at Aliso Niguel.
Aliso Niguel High School registration forms are due back to DJAMS counselors on Monday, March 30.

ALISO NIGUEL HIGH SCHOOL PEP SQUAD TO VISIT
On Monday, March 16, the Aliso Niguel High School Pep Squad will visit to make a presentation during 7th/8th grade lunch.
There will be a Pep Squad Parent Meeting on March 25, at 8:00 p.m., in the library at Aliso Niguel High School. This is a mandatory parent meeting for anyone who is thinking about trying out for Pep Squad for the 2009-2010 school year.
DJAMS SERVICE AWARD – BRONCO PRIDE
Student Information Meeting on Thursday, March 12, 2009 (During 6th grade lunch – Ms. Mizzell’s room 701 and 7th/8th grade lunch – Ms. Balogh’s room 703)
Over forty students have shown interest in DJAMS’ new community service program, Bronco Pride. The awards will recognize both academic accomplishments as well as school and community service efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for your sons and daughters’ achievements to be recognized. We would hope that all parents encourage their sons/daughters to get involved in the “Bronco Pride” awards. Students are getting involved at school by adopting a planter, helping in the library, assisting teachers, and tutoring. If you have any questions or comments about the awards, please contact Mrs. Burdette, the Assistant Principal at Don Juan Avila Middle School or Mrs.Balogh.
SMOOTHY KING TO BE SOLD AFTER SCHOOL ON FRIDAYS
Smoothie King will be sold at DJAMS every Friday after school. Smoothies cost $3.75 each and proceeds go to the Rare Disease Foundation. Thanks for your support!
