Orange County Coastkeeper to host a beach cleanup event in partnership with Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris’s office at Huntington State Beach as a post-pandemic return to public cleanup gatherings. For two hours, volunteers of all ages will fill reusable bags and buckets with litter found across the sand.
Beach cleanups are a hands-on way for people to get involved with their environment. As opposed to other sustainable life choices, cleaning up litter provides instant satisfaction, a direct impact on Orange County’s environment and instills responsible trash disposal behavior in volunteers. The Coastkeeper team is excited to welcome back safe, public cleanups now that the state restrictions were lifted on June 15.
