The Girl Scouts of Orange County and Moulton Niguel Water District are asking for community volunteers to pick up trash and clear debris at the 2018 Aliso Viejo Trails & Creek Cleanup on Saturday, September 15.
For the 12th consecutive year, Moulton Niguel will participate in the annual event, hosted by the City of Aliso Viejo, which cleans local watersheds and keeps pollution from reaching Orange County beaches. At last year’s event, approximately 150 volunteers collected 800 pounds of litter from local creeks and trails.
We’re challenging our community to match the Girl Scouts in ‘doing a good turn’ on September 15, alluding to the Girl Scout slogan. We are encouraging our community members to join Moulton Niguel and the Girl Scouts of Orange County in protecting our environment.

The community clean-up event is just one way that Moulton Niguel is protecting our environment. Under a program with OC Coastkeeper, the District organizes water education field trips for Orange County middle schoolers to learn about watershed protection. Last year, the non-profit organization Sustain OC honored Moulton Niguel Water District for its efforts to protect local creeks, streams, and beaches from pollution caused by urban runoff.
Moulton Niguel Water District provides high-quality drinking water, recycled water, and wastewater treatment services to customers in Aliso Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Hills, Mission Viejo, San Juan Capistrano, and Dana Point. A leader in environmental protection, Moulton Niguel maintains the lowest average bill in South Orange County.
