The public is invited to spend a late afternoon at the pool with US swimmer and Olympic gold medalist Kaitlin Sandeno on Aug. 13.
Sandeno, a 4-time Olympic medalist, will give youngsters invaluable swimming pointers, sign autographs, pose for photos and answer questions about her successful career during her visit to the Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center at 29 Santa Barbara.
The public is invited to swim with Sandeno from 3 to 6 p.m. The facility will offer visitors a special $3 per-person rate from 3 p.m. on.
Sandeno won silver, bronze and gold medals in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. She took home a bronze medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. She retired from the sport in 2008.
Out of the pool, Sandeno enjoys giving back to the community through motivational speaking and youth appearances.
The Aquatic Center is located at Aliso Creek Road and Glenwood Drive, near the golf course.
