Several people enjoyed visiting with US swimmer and Olympic gold medalist Kaitlin Sandeno on Monday, Aug. 16 at the Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center.

A 4-time Olympic medalist, Sandeno gave youngsters invaluable swimming pointers, signed autographs, posed for photos and answered questions about her successful career during her visit to the Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center located at 29 Santa Barbara.

Sandeno won silver, bronze and gold medals in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. She took home a bronze medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. She retired from the sport in 2008.

Out of the pool, she enjoys giving back to the community through motivational speaking and youth appearances.
