Olympica Gymnastics Academy hosted the fourth annual Pacific Classic Gymnastics Meet this past weekend at the Ladera Sports Complex in Ladera Ranch. Teams from numerous states and throughout California traveled to compete at this meet.
Olympica’s Level 3 team earned several top awards and the third place team award. Leah Veselko of Trabuco Canyon took home the gold on vault, scoring 9.350 and the bronze in the all around with a score of 36.325 in the younger division. Teammate, Makenna Sargent (Laguna Niguel) earned the silver medal on floor with her 9.150 performance. In the middle division, Laguna Hill’s resident, Ivory Calderon, scored a 9.225 on floor and Maia Arrigo of Ladera Ranch scored an 8.850 on bars, both earning bronze medals. Robyn Chararria (Laguna Hills) earned the gold on beam, scoring an impressive 9.500, tied for silver on vault with a 9.300, and took the bronze on bars with a 9.00 in the older division. In the same division, Zoe Malue of Mission Viejo took home the bronze in the all around with a 35.400.

Level 7 gymnast, Addison Malue of Mission Viejo, was the vault champion in the senior A division with a score of 9.175.

In the Level 8 Junior division, Ladera Ranch resident Samantha Hayes was the floor champion with a 9.350 and teammate, Holly Carter of Aliso Viejo, took the silver with a 9.250. Regan Johnson of San Clemente earned the silver on vault with a 9.325 in the Level 8 Senior division.
Katya Kousakin of San Juan Capistrano took silver on vault with a 9.550 in the Level 9 Junior division and Sarah Quan of Ladera Ranch earned the bronze on floor exercise with a 9.375.
Olympica Gymnastics’ optional gymnasts are off to Park City, Utah this week to now compete at the 2020 Black Diamond Winter Classic.
